Funded by the Victoria Foundation, this project stream brings together young people living with FASD together with other youth, project facilitators, community agencies, and volunteer mentors to form Youth Inclusion Teams in two Vancouver Island regions (Victoria and Port Hardy in Year 1), an Interior region (Kamloops in Year 2) and a Northern BC region (Year 3) over a three-year period.

Youth Inclusion team members receive the “Leaders in FASD Prevention” training (youth-friendly FASD prevention education). Participants are supported to use their new training and skills to develop and present FASD educational workshops to middle and alternate school students, youth groups, and other community members. These interactive FASD prevention workshops include youth-friendly written and media materials and resources, and feature youth-led, adult facilitator-supported presentations and activities.
